A couple who transformed their porch on a budget has revealed exactly how they did it.
Hari Harris, 25, and his partner Jamie, couldn’t bear to look at their dull and dingy front entrance any longer, so they decided to give it some well-needed TLC.
The once pale pink painted brick walls have been given a magical makeover, which they say makes them feel like they’re in the ” Love Island villa.”
Hari shared the dramatic transformation online where he explained exactly how they managed to do it for under £20.
In the DIY on a Budget Official group, he wrote: “Front porch glow up!!!
“Absolutely amazed how this turned out. The total cost of this was just £18!!”
Hari explained that the faux foliage squares, which he used to completely cover the walls were free, but you can pick up similar ones for £3 from Ikea.
While the lights were purchased from Home Bargains and the wood was measured out in B&Q.
The first thing they needed to do was screw the wood to the wall, then tack the lights to the wood.
Then, they cable tied the foliage together before attaching it to the wood.
He adds: “For those with a good eye. The door was done by using white electrical tape.”
Since being posted on Facebook, it has received more than 3,400 likes and hundreds of comments from impressed followers.
Hari has also been sharing how he has renovated his home on Instagram.
He previously told LatestDeals.co.uk that lockdown was the perfect time to give his garden and dressing room a makeover.
After spending two years renovating, Hari’s top tip is to shop around because the “savings can be huge”.
